A survey was released by Global Health Group World Action on Salt, Sugar and Health (WASSH). They took a consideration of give global food producers, where it was found that Kraft Heinz has highest amount of unheathly food products. Even though this brand is well known and has been easily found at grocery store like Jell-O, Lunchables , and Oscar Mayer, its not good for your health.

A total of 2346 products from brands like Kraft Heinz, Nestle, Kellog’s, Uniliver, and Danone were considered from  markets like  France, Mexico and Australia. The products were evaluated by using three government-endorsed standards for what makes for healthier food and drink.

It was found that Kraft Heinz products were unhealthy by 100% and 93% in Mexico and France, respectively. And Asutralia has 615 of unhealthy products by Kraft Heinz. And the overall unhealthy products found in top three biggest market is 82% Nestle, Kellog’s, Uniliver also has unhealthy products across all three markets. But only 35% of Danone products were classified as unhealthy.

With the exception of Danone, major producers said the government should step in to help safeguard consumers’ health while they rely on unhealthy foods. But we can improve this by reformulating new recipes with less salt and sugar content and governemnt should help in enforcement, said Mhairi Brown, policy and publish affair lead, WASSH.

Andrea Budelli, global ESG officer for Kraft Heinz stated, We believe the recent WASSH study findings misrepresent our efforts. Our wide range of products can fit into any dietary pattern we offer options to fulfil needs and preferences in terms of lifestyle. With regard to health and nutrition, we have objective to reduce salt and sugar in our products by  more than 60 million pounds globally by 2025.
