Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney recalled due to Metal  Contamination

 Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC) UK has issued a recall for multiple batches of Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney due to the possible presence of metal fragments, which could pose a safety risk to consumers.

The recall affects both 195g retail packs and 1.35kg catering packs with various best-before dates ranging from April 2027 to February 2029. According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the product may contain pieces of metal, making it unsafe for consumption and potentially causing injury if eaten.

The affected products were distributed across the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, and Wales.

Affected Products

The recall covers Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney in:

  • 195g packs with best-before dates between 25 November 2028 and 03 February 2029
  • 1.35kg packs with best-before dates between 28 April 2027 and 17 August 2027

Consumer Advice

Consumers who have purchased any of the affected products are advised not to eat them. Instead, they should return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC) UK has also displayed point-of-sale notices in stores stocking the product to inform customers about the recall and the necessary actions to take.
