Capri-Sun Recalls Orange Multipacks After Mislabelled ‘Sugar-Free’ Pouches Found

July 16, 2026 Ireland

Capri-Sun Multipack

Capri-Sun has issued a Category 2 recall for specific batches of its Capri-Sun Orange 10 x 200 ml multipacks due to a packaging error that resulted in some pouches being incorrectly labelled as Capri-Sun Orange Zero (sugar-free).

The recall was announced on July 10, 2026, after it was discovered that certain multipacks contain regular Capri-Sun Orange pouches with normal sugar content, despite the individual pouches being labelled as the sugar-free “Zero” version.

Reason for the Recall

According to the recall notice, a packaging error caused some Capri-Sun Orange multipacks to include pouches that were mistakenly labelled as Capri-Sun Orange Zero.

Although the outer multipack packaging correctly states that the product contains regular Capri-Sun Orange, the individual pouches are incorrectly labelled as the sugar-free version. As a result, consumers may mistakenly believe they are drinking a sugar-free beverage when the product actually contains the normal amount of sugar.

  • Consumers specifically choosing sugar-free beverages

Consuming the incorrectly labelled product may lead to unintended sugar intake.

Consumer Advice

Consumers who have purchased the affected multipacks should:

  1. Check the batch code and best-before date on the packaging.
  2. Be aware that pouches labelled “Capri-Sun Orange Zero” inside the affected multipacks actually contain regular Capri-Sun Orange with its normal sugar content.
  3. Individuals who need to monitor their sugar intake should avoid consuming the incorrectly labelled pouches.
  4. Follow retailer instructions regarding product returns or refunds, where applicable.

Retailer Action

Retailers have been instructed to remove the affected batches from sale, and recall notices will be displayed at points of sale to inform consumers about the packaging error.

Consumers are advised to verify the batch code before consuming the product, particularly if they rely on sugar-free beverages for medical or dietary reasons.
