Yogurt pouches recalled by New Zealand Food Safety due to presence of black plastic

Epicurean Dairy Ltd, the manufacturer of The Collective brand Suckies Strawberry Probiotic Yoghurt, is conducting a voluntary recall of specific batches of its product. The recall is initiated due to the potential presence of foreign matter, specifically black plastic, in the yoghurt pouches.

Affected Product:

  • Name: The Collective brand Suckies Strawberry Probiotic Yoghurt (4x100g)
  • Date Marking: Best Before: April 30, 2024
  • Batch Marking: 32280 T2 or 32280 T3
  • Package Description: Sold in a cardboard box containing 4 x 100g pouches

The product is distributed in supermarkets and retail outlets across New Zealand. It has not been exported.

Consumer Advice:

  • Customers are advised to check the date and batch marking on both the box and individual pouches of the product.
  • Affected product should not be consumed. While there have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of this product, consumers who have consumed it and have concerns about their health are urged to seek medical advice.
  • Customers should return the product to the retailer from whom it was purchased to receive a full refund.
