Venerdi Limited, the renowned bread producer, has issued a recall for specific batches of its Gluten Freedom brand Broken Black Rice & Polenta Sourdough, Splendid Sourdough English Muffins, and Everything Sourdough Bagels, distributed in New Zealand and Australia. The recall is prompted by the potential presence of foreign matter (plastic) in the products.

Product Details:

  • Gluten Freedom brand Broken Black Rice & Polenta Sourdough (550g) – BEST BEFORE 19-12-2023 up to and including 11-03-2024
  • Gluten Freedom brand Splendid Sourdough English Muffins (280g) – BEST BEFORE 20-12-2023 up to and including 05-03-2024
  • Gluten Freedom brand Everything Sourdough Bagels (400g) – BEST BEFORE 25-12-2023 up to and including 04-03-2024

Customers are urged to check the best before date on the packaging and refrain from consuming affected products. Although no injuries have been reported, individuals with health concerns after consuming these products are advised to seek medical advice. Customers should return the recalled items to their retailer for a full refund.

The affected products were sold in supermarkets and retail outlets throughout New Zealand and have also been exported to Australia.
