Jaime’s Foods ATX of Austin, Texas, is recalling Jaime’s Spanish Village Jalapeno Ranch Dressing after discovering that the product contains egg that was not declared on the label.

The recall was announced on August 25, 2026, and published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on August 26.

The recalled product is:

  • Brand: Jaime’s Spanish Village
  • Product: Jalapeno Ranch Dressing
  • Size: 16 oz glass jar
  • UPC: 199284564923
  • Lot numbers: 69, 86, 108, 113, 116 and 121
  • Lot code location: Stamped on the bottom of the jar

The dressing was sold at Central Market stores across Texas and local independent retailers in Austin, beginning April 3, 2026.

Why was it recalled?

The product contains egg, but the allergen was accidentally omitted from both the ingredient list and allergen warning.

The issue was discovered during an FDA inspection of the facility where the dressing was bottled.

For people with an egg allergy or severe sensitivity, consuming the product could cause a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.

No illnesses reported

As of the recall announcement, no illnesses had been reported in connection with the product.

However, consumers with egg allergies should not consume the recalled dressing.
