Builín Blasta Teo, a well-known producer of artisan dressings and condiments, has announced the recall of several batches of its dressing products due to the presence of lactic acid bacteria, which may cause spoilage. The recall was officially issued on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, under Alert Notification 2025.25.
The spoilage, while not harmful to health in most cases, could affect the taste, appearance, or shelf-life of the product and result in an unpleasant experience for consumers. As a precautionary measure, affected products are being removed from store shelves, and point-of-sale recall notices will be clearly displayed.
The following Builín Blasta dressings and relishes are affected:
Red Onion & Tomato Relish (220g)
Batch Numbers: 844, 942, 1009
Use-by Dates: 11 October 2025, 30 January 2026, and 9 April 2026
Caesar Dressing (245g)

Use-by Dates: 2 July 2025 and 16 December 2025

Use-by Dates: 18 February 2026, 13 March 2026, 19 March 2026, and 24 April 2026
These batches have been identified as potentially containing lactic acid bacteria, which can cause fermentation or spoilage over time.

Should contact all affected clients.
Recall all implicated stock and ensure retail clients receive appropriate recall notices.
