NW Kitchen Deli Meals Recalled in New Zealand Due to Possible Glass Contamination

New Zealand Food Safety has announced a recall of several NW Kitchen branded deli meals sold at New World Greymouth and New World Rolleston stores due to the possible presence of foreign matter (glass).

The recall was initiated on June 14, 2026, as a precautionary measure to protect consumers from potential injury associated with glass contamination.

The affected products were sold chilled in plastic containers.

Distribution

The recalled meals were available exclusively at:

  • New World Greymouth
  • New World Rolleston

According to New Zealand Food Safety, the products were not exported and were only sold within New Zealand.

Consumer Advice

Consumers are advised to check the packed-on and use-by dates on any NW Kitchen deli meals purchased from the affected stores.

Customers should not consume any of the recalled products. Although no injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall, the presence of glass poses a potential risk of injury.
