Australian food safety authorities have issued an urgent recall for a popular Korean snack product after it was found to be contaminated with mould, raising potential health concerns for consumers.

The recalled product, Han Kitchen Topokki Cup Original 140g, has been removed from shelves at major supermarkets including Coles and Woolworths, as well as selected Asian grocery stores in New South Wales.

The recall notice was issued by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), which warned consumers not to consume the affected product.

Separate Recall Issued for Enoki Mushrooms Over Listeria Concerns

In a separate food safety alert issued recently, Concordia Traders Enoki Mushroom 350g was also recalled due to fears of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected mushrooms were sold in Asian grocery stores across Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia, with the following identification:

  • Product: Concordia Traders Enoki Mushroom 350g
  • Use By Date: May 24, 2026

Health authorities warned that Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe illness, especially among:

  • Pregnant women
  • Unborn babies and newborns
  • Elderly individuals
  • Immunocompromised consumers

The general public may also become ill after consuming contaminated food.

Consumers have been advised not to consume the recalled mushrooms and to return them for a refund.
