Several cheese products sold in Ontario and Quebec have been recalled due to contamination with generic (non-pathogenic) E. coli.
The recall affects certain fresh cheese products sold under the Bianca Murgia, Longo’s Curato and Sapori Coratini brands. Although the E. coli identified is classified as non-pathogenic, consumers are advised not to use the affected products.
Consumers, retailers and food service establishments should not consume, sell, serve or distribute the affected products. Anyone who has purchased the recalled cheese should check the product size, UPC and lot/best-before information against the recall details before use.
