The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has updated its food recall warning for Mahrousa brand tahini due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recall, first issued on February 18, 2026, was revised on February 24, 2026, to include additional distribution information identified during the agency’s ongoing food safety investigation. The affected tahini was distributed in Alberta and Saskatchewan and is being removed from the marketplace as a precautionary measure to protect public health.
