A national recall has been issued for several Ceder’s brand non-alcoholic distilled beverages due to the presence of mould. While this microbial contamination is not considered harmful, it poses a quality concern and could affect the taste, appearance, and shelf stability of the products. Consumers are urged to stop using, selling, or serving the affected items immediately.

The recall affects the following 500 ml Ceder’s non-alcoholic beverages:

  • Classic Distilled – UPC: 5 060590 390009
    Affected lots: L4081B2, L4225B2, L3320B2, L4282B2

  • Crisp Distilled Spirit – UPC: 5 060590 390023
    Affected lots: L4080B2, L4135B2, L4278B2, L5020B2

  • Wild Distilled – UPC: 5 060590 390016
    Affected lots: L4282B2, L4222B2, L4079B2, L4281B2

  • Rose Distilled – UPC: 5 060590 390092
    Affected lots: L4032B2, L4221B2, L4276B2, L4135B2, L4277B2

Health Risk Details:
Although the contamination is classified as non-harmful, mould in beverages can lead to spoilage, off-flavors, and visible degradation of the product. Individuals with compromised immune systems, mould allergies, or sensitivities may experience minor adverse effects like nausea, allergic reactions, or digestive upset.

What You Should Do:

  • Do not consume the affected products

  • Retailers should remove the items from shelves

  • Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a refund
