Bear Stewart LLC has voluntarily recalled a single lot of Bakr Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Ready to Bake Cookie Dough because it may contain undeclared soy, according to a notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall affects products distributed through Target retail stores in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, and Utah beginning June 11, 2026.

The recall applies to Bakr Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Ready to Bake Cookie Dough, sold in 8-ounce blue pouches in the frozen food section.

  • Package Size: 8 oz (224 g)

No other lots are included in the recall.

Reason for the Recall

The recalled product may contain soy, which is not declared on the product label. According to the company, the issue occurred due to a temporary packaging error in which S’mores cookie dough containing soy was mistakenly packaged in Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk pouches.

People with a soy allergy or severe sensitivity are at risk of experiencing a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the affected product.

Consumer Advice

Consumers who have purchased the recalled cookie dough with lot number 2606022 should not consume the product if they have a soy allergy or sensitivity.

The company advises consumers to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
