Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd is recalling a specific batch of its Value brand Natural Almonds (400g) due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (tree nut – cashew). The recall has been initiated because cashews have been incorrectly packaged as Value brand Natural Almonds.

Distribution: The product is sold at Four Square, New World, and Pak’nSave stores throughout New Zealand. The product has not been exported.

Consumer Advice:

Customers are advised to check the batch code and date marking on the back of the package.
People with a tree nut (cashew) allergy should not consume this product due to the risk of a serious allergic reaction. If you have consumed this product and have any health concerns, seek medical advice. If you are not allergic or intolerant to tree nuts (cashew), this recall does not affect you.
Customers with a tree nut (cashew) allergy should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
