Panorama Produce has recalled certain Martina brand mangoes sold at select Walmart stores because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The recall involves 302 boxes of size 9 mangoes that were shipped between August 10 and August 21, 2026, to Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The FDA became concerned about possible contamination after testing mangoes grown on the same farm as the recalled fruit detected Salmonella.
The tested mangoes containing Salmonella were not distributed to consumers. However, because the recalled mangoes came from the same source, Panorama Produce initiated the recall as a precaution.
So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with these mangoes.
Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause salmonellosis, a foodborne illness. People can become infected after consuming food contaminated with the bacteria.

Symptoms can begin 6 hours to 6 days after infection and typically resolve within several days to a week.
In some cases, particularly among young children, older adults, frail individuals, and people with weakened immune systems, Salmonella infections can become serious or potentially life-threatening.
Consumers who purchased the recalled mangoes should not eat them.
Throw the mangoes away or return them to the Walmart store where they were purchased.
