The recalled fruit puree pouches were sold nationwide in the United States through the following retailers:

  • Kroger
  • Meijer
  • Target

The products were available for purchase between 6 March and 13 July 2026.

Reason for the Recall

The recall was initiated because of an internal packaging defect that may result in a strand of soft, food-grade plastic being present inside some pouches.

According to PT Organics Limited, the issue was identified after its packaging supplier recalled a production run of defective pouches. The company subsequently inspected finished products packaged in the affected pouches and confirmed that a small number contained strands of soft plastic attached to the inside of the packaging.

Health Risk

While the plastic identified is food-grade, its unintended presence in the product presents a physical contamination hazard, particularly for infants and young children who commonly consume fruit puree pouches.

As of the recall announcement, no injuries or adverse events have been reported.

Consumer Advice

Consumers who purchased the recalled fruit puree pouches should:

  • Stop using the product immediately.
  • Check the UPC code, lane number, and Best Before date to determine whether their product is affected.
  • Return the recalled product to the place of purchase for a refund or dispose of it safely.
  • Do not feed the affected product to children or other consumers.

Consumers who have concerns after consuming the product or who believe they have experienced an adverse event should seek appropriate medical advice.

Company Response

PT Organics Limited stated that the recall was initiated as a precaution after confirming the packaging defect during inspections. The company is working with its packaging supplier to address the issue and prevent similar incidents in the future.

The recall underscores the importance of packaging quality controls and prompt corrective action to protect consumers from potential physical contamination in food products.
