Bellevue Orchard Pty Ltd has issued a nationwide recall for selected Summer Snow Pink Lady Apple Juice (1L) and Summer Snow Granny Smith Apple Juice (2L) after a pasteurisation failure resulted in the potential growth of mould in the products.
The recall was announced on 6 July 2026 and affects products sold through independent retailers across Australia, including IGA stores and online platforms. The Summer Snow Pink Lady Apple Juice (1L) was also available through Farmers Pick in Victoria.
According to the recall notice, the affected apple juices underwent unsuccessful pasteurisation, a critical food safety process designed to eliminate harmful microorganisms and extend product shelf life. Because the process was not successful, some bottles may be contaminated with mould, making the products unsafe for consumption.
Food contaminated with mould may cause illness, particularly in individuals with weakened immune systems, young children, older adults, and those with underlying health conditions.
The following products are included in the recall:
Summer Snow Pink Lady Apple Juice – 1 Litre
Summer Snow Granny Smith Apple Juice – 2 Litres
Consumers are advised to carefully check the product name, pack size, and best-before date before consuming any Summer Snow apple juice.
Consumers should not drink the affected products under any circumstances.
Anyone who has purchased the recalled apple juices should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers who have already consumed the products and are concerned about their health or experience symptoms after consumption should seek medical advice promptly.
