The recall affects specific cupcakes, muffins, and carrot cake products sold exclusively at the New World Halswell supermarket in Christchurch.

Products Affected

The following bakery items are included in the recall:

  • New World Halswell Red Velvet Cupcakes (6 Pack)
  • New World Halswell Carrot Muffins (6 Pack)
  • New World Halswell Carrot & Cream Cheese Icing Cake (various sizes)

All affected products are packed in clear plastic containers.

Consumers are advised to check for these Best Before dates:

  3. 12.02.2026
  4. 13.02.2026

This recall does not impact any other New World Halswell made-in-store bakery products.

Reason for Recall

The products are being recalled because they may contain metal fragments, which could pose a safety risk if consumed.
