SFA Recalls Two More Dumex Infant Formula Batches After Toxin Detected

February 1, 2026

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has recalled two additional batches of Dumex infant formula products after tests detected the presence of cereulide, a toxin that can cause nausea and vomiting.

In a joint media release issued on Friday (Jan 30), SFA and the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) said the affected products are:

  • Dumex Dulac Stage 1 (800g) – Batch 101575737
  • Dumex Dulac Stage 2 (800g) – Batch 101570779

Both products were manufactured in Thailand and carry an expiry date of Sept 5, 2027.

According to the agencies, the recalled batches may have used the same raw ingredient sourced from the same supplier as earlier batches of infant formula that were previously recalled due to similar concerns.

With these additions, a total of nine batches of imported infant formula have been recalled, accounting for approximately 5 per cent of Singapore’s imported infant formula supply. SFA and CDA noted that testing of all infant formula products currently sold at major retail outlets has been completed, and these are expected to be the final batches affected.

As of Jan 29, two additional individuals who consumed the affected products reported mild symptoms consistent with cereulide exposure, bringing the total number of cases to three. All individuals have since fully recovered.

The agencies highlighted that there are currently no definitive clinical laboratory tests available to confirm cereulide poisoning. Surveillance efforts are ongoing, with SFA and CDA working closely with medical practitioners to monitor for potential cases, particularly among children.

Consumers who have purchased products from the affected batches are advised not to feed them to their children. Parents are urged to seek medical advice promptly if their child shows signs of illness after consuming the products. Consumers may also contact their respective retailers for further enquiries.
