The recall applies to the following varieties of Pams Hot Roasted Whole Chickens, all sold on 23 October 2025:

• Pams Hot Roast Chicken Original Large
• Pams Hot Roast Chicken Garlic Lemon Large
• Pams Hot Roast Chicken Sage & Onion Stuffed Large

These products were sold in sealed plastic bags exclusively at New World Te Kuiti, 39 Rora Street, Te Kuiti 3910. No other Pams brand products are affected by this recall.

Reason for Recall:
The chickens may have been exposed to a cleaning chemical used during the sanitization process, which poses potential health risks if consumed.

Health Risk Information:
Ingesting food contaminated with cleaning chemicals can cause:

1. Gastrointestinal irritation, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
2. Burning sensation in the mouth or throat
3. Abdominal pain or dizziness in severe cases

Although no illnesses have been reported so far, consumers are advised not to consume the affected products. Anyone who has eaten the recalled chicken and experiences symptoms should seek medical advice immediately.
