The affected products have been distributed across Canada and sold at major retailers, including Walmart, Costco, and Loblaws.

CFIA warned that food contaminated with E. coli may not appear spoiled but can still cause serious illness. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. In severe cases, E. coli infection can lead to seizures, strokes, kidney failure requiring dialysis, blood transfusions, or even death.
Consumers who believe they may have become ill after consuming the recalled products are advised to seek medical attention and inform their healthcare provider about possible E. coli exposure.
The CFIA stated that it is verifying the effectiveness of the recall and ensuring that the affected products are being removed from store shelves nationwide.
Consumers are encouraged to check their freezers carefully and follow CFIA recall instructions to reduce the risk of illness.
