Symptoms of Salmonella infection include:
Vulnerable groups, such as young children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems, are at higher risk of severe illness and long-term complications such as reactive arthritis.
The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of additional products. The agency is verifying that industry is removing the affected products from the marketplace.
