The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a Food Alert for Action concerning Noesis Schokolade Love of Dubai chocolate, after it was discovered that the product contains peanuts, which are not declared on the label. This poses a serious health risk for individuals with a peanut allergy.
The affected product is manufactured by NOESIS SCHOKOLADE, Gida ve Unlu Mam Ltd and has been distributed in the UK by Black Sea Trading Ltd, a company that is currently uncontactable, raising concerns among food safety authorities.
This product contains peanuts, which are not listed in the ingredient declaration, making it a potentially life-threatening risk for people with peanut allergies.
Food Businesses: Immediately cease sale of the product, initiate product withdrawal, and if sold at retail, begin product recalls.
Consumers: Do not consume this product if you have a peanut allergy. Safely dispose of the product at home and contact your local Trading Standards (Great Britain) or Environmental Health Officer (Northern Ireland) to report where it was purchased.
The FSA, in collaboration with local enforcement authorities, is actively investigating the case to ensure the product is removed from circulation and affected customers are informed. Allergy organizations have been notified to help raise awareness among at-risk individuals.
When a food product is found to be unsafe, it may be withdrawn (removed from sale) or recalled (requested to be returned by consumers). The FSA issues Product Recall Information Notices to inform the public and authorities, and in urgent cases like this, a Food Alert for Action is issued, mandating action by enforcement bodies.
For further updates, consumers are encouraged to monitor the FSA website and report any additional concerns to their local authorities.
