Picnic Point Farm has issued a recall for its Orchard Fresh Raspberry Jam (280g) after metal fragments were discovered in some jars. The product, packed in a clear glass jar with a black lid and a white label featuring raspberries, poses a potential physical injury risk if consumed. The recall applies to jars marked with Best Before: 24 JUN 2026 and was announced on 8 July 2025.
This jam has been sold at multiple locations across Victoria including Picnic Point Farm Shed, Traralgon Farmers Market, David Lucke’s Fresh Food Market, Albert & Co, and through a school fundraiser at Bairnsdale Primary School (754).
Health Risk:
Ingesting food contaminated with metal can lead to serious health issues such as mouth or throat injury, internal bleeding, choking, or damage to the digestive tract. The risk is greater for children and older individuals. Even small metal particles can cause sharp internal cuts, making it important to avoid consumption entirely.
Consumer Advice:
Do not consume the product. Return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you believe you have consumed the jam and are feeling unwell or have discomfort, seek medical attention immediately.
