Metal Contamination In Afghan Oat Baked Bars

On 4 April 2025, Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd announced a recall of a specific batch of Pams brand Afghan Oat Baked Bars (240g) due to the possible presence of foreign matter (metal) in the product. This recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure to protect consumers, although no injuries or health incidents have been reported to date.

Product Details

The recalled product is the Pams brand Afghan Oat Baked Bars sold in a 240g cardboard box containing 6 bars. The affected batch is marked with a best before date of 16 January 2026. This product has been distributed across New Zealand through Four Square, New World, Pak’nSave, and Social Supermarkets. It has not been exported.

What Consumers Should Do

Customers are advised to check the date marking on the bottom of the packaging. If you have purchased this product with the affected date, do not consume it. Instead, return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

If you have already consumed the product and have any health concerns, please seek medical advice promptly.
