
Charcuterie du Pacifique Sud Limited, in coordination with New Zealand Food Safety, has issued a recall of L’Authentique Chicken & Duck Parfait following the identification of a failure in food safety controls during production.
Only products with the above use-by date are affected. No other L’Authentique brand products are impacted.
Sold at supermarkets and retailers throughout New Zealand
The product has not been exported
The recall has been initiated due to a failure of food safety controls, which may compromise the safety of the product.
While no illnesses have been reported to date, the failure of food safety controls means that harmful microorganisms may be present, which could potentially cause foodborne illness. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, and other gastrointestinal issues.
Individuals at higher risk, including pregnant women, young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems, may be more susceptible to serious illness.
Do not consume the affected product
Check the use-by date on the lid
Return the product to the retailer for a full refund
If you have consumed the product and feel unwell or have health concerns, seek medical advice promptly
Retailers selling the affected product are required to:
Remove the product from sale immediately
Display the point-of-sale recall notice in-store for one month
