Daebok Foods Co. Limited has issued a recall of all batches and all dates of its Daebok Rice Cake brand Ground Garlic (400g) and Daebok Rice Cake brand Korean Sundae (290g) due to the lack of required food safety controls.

Affected Products:

  • Product 1: Ground Garlic

    • Size: 400g

    • Product Type: Crushed Garlic

    • Packaging: Plastic

  • Product 2: Korean Sundae

    • Size: 290g

    • Product Type: Blood Sausage

    • Packaging: Plastic

  • Batch Details: All batches and all dates

  • Sold at: Ethnic grocery stores throughout the Auckland region, New Zealand

Reason for Recall:

The products are being recalled due to insufficient food safety controls, raising concerns about potential food safety risks. Although no illnesses have been reported to date, the recall is a precautionary measure.

Consumer Advice:

  1. Do not consume the affected products.
  2. Return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
  3. If you have already consumed these products and are feeling unwell, please seek medical attention.

Retailer Notice:

Retailers are advised to display the Point of Sale Notice provided by the authorities in-store for at least one month to inform consumers of the recall.
