Synear Foods USA, LLC has recalled approximately 71,603 pounds of frozen not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) pork and crab soup dumpling products due to misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The recall was initiated after FSIS inspectors discovered that the products were formulated with peanut oil, but peanuts were not declared on the product labels. Peanut is a major food allergen that can cause serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
The affected products were produced between October 15, 2025, and February 23, 2026, and include:
All recalled products bear establishment number EST. 45942 inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The products were distributed to retail locations in California, New Jersey, and Washington and were also exported to Canada.
According to the company, a formulation change resulted in the use of peanut oil, but the ingredient was not properly reflected on the finished product labels. The issue was identified during a routine FSIS allergen verification inspection.
Individuals with peanut allergies or severe sensitivities risk serious allergic reactions if they consume the affected products. Symptoms may include hives, swelling, breathing difficulties, gastrointestinal distress, and, in severe cases, anaphylaxis.
At the time of the recall announcement, no confirmed reports of adverse reactions had been received.
FSIS is concerned that some of the recalled products may still be stored in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased the affected soup dumplings are urged not to consume them. The products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
Consumers experiencing adverse reactions after consuming the product should seek medical attention and consult their healthcare provider.
