Synear Foods USA, LLC, based in Chatsworth, California, has recalled approximately 71,603 pounds of frozen not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) pork and crab soup dumpling products due to misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recalled products contain peanut oil, a known allergen, which was not declared on the product labels. Individuals with peanut allergies or sensitivities could be at risk of serious allergic reactions if they consume the affected products.

The recalled dumplings were produced between October 15, 2025, and February 23, 2026, and include:

  • 13.23-ounce plastic bags labeled “Synear Supreme Soup Dumpling Pork & Crab” with Best By dates:
    • October 15, 2026
    • November 10, 2026
    • December 23, 2026
    • January 26, 2027
    • February 23, 2027
  • 375-gram plastic bags labeled “Synear Supreme Soup Dumpling / Dumplings à la Soupe Suprême Pork & Crab / Porc et Crabe” with Best By dates:
    • October 15, 2026
    • January 26, 2027

The affected products bear establishment number EST. 45942 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The products were distributed to retail stores in California, New Jersey, and Washington, and were also exported to Canada.

The issue was identified during a routine FSIS allergen verification task. Inspectors discovered that the dumplings were formulated with peanut oil, but peanuts were not listed on the final product label. The company determined that a formulation change had resulted in the labeling error.

To date, no confirmed adverse reactions have been reported in connection with the recalled products. However, consumers who are concerned about a potential allergic reaction should seek medical advice.

FSIS is concerned that some of the affected products may still be stored in consumers’ freezers. Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled dumplings and should either discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
