Hancook Brand Korean Black Sausage Recalled Over Food Safety Control Concerns

Hancook brand SunDae (Korean black sausage)

Hancook Limited has issued a recall for all batches and all dates of its Hancook brand Sundae (Korean black sausage) due to the absence of required food safety controls during production.

The recalled product, Hancook brand Sundae (Korean black sausage) (500g), is sold in 500g plastic packaging and was distributed to several retailers across the Auckland region, including:

  1. Bokmart, Mount Eden Road, Grafton
  2. H Mart Albany, Tawa Drive, Albany
  3. H Mart City (iMart), Wakefield Street, Auckland Central
  4. H Mart Howick, Harris Road, East Tamaki
  5. H Mart Henderson, Paramount Drive, Henderson
  6. New Meet (NH Mall), Glendhu Road, Bayview
  7. Royal Save Mart, Hobson Street, Auckland Central
  8. Wang Food Market, Link Drive, Wairau Valley

Authorities have confirmed that no other Hancook products are affected, and the recalled product has not been exported outside New Zealand.

Consumers are advised not to consume the affected product. While no illnesses have been reported, anyone who has eaten the product and is concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

Customers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
